Having an ADA (American Disabilities Act) compliant website can help you avoid legal problems pertaining to you and your real estate website.
While non ADA compliant websites are not technically illegal, if someone with a disability comes to your website and it is not equipped with assistive technologies they might need (such as screen readers) they can sue you on the basis of ADA.
The National Association of Realtors (NAR) fully supports the push for REALTORS to make their websites ADA compliant in order to avoid litigation.
